Terms

The agreement between you and HelloStamped, in the plainest language it can honestly be written in. If any of it seems to say something unreasonable, that is worth telling us — the address is at the bottom.

What this service is

A daily brief, a set of guides written from government sources, a community of other immigrants, and an assistant that answers from those guides. Free to use.

We try hard to be accurate and we will not always be. Rules change, sources contradict each other, and a page checked last month may be wrong today — which is why everything carries the date it was last verified, and why anything time-sensitive is withheld rather than quoted once it goes stale.

What we ask of you

Be honest about where your information came from. Every post carries a label — official, community or expert — and choosing the wrong one is the one thing here that can genuinely hurt somebody else.

Do not post other people’s private details: receipt numbers, A-numbers, addresses, documents. Do not sell anything. Do not use the community to advertise a consultancy. The full list is the community guidelines, and a removal always names the rule it broke.

You must be old enough to be responsible for your own immigration matters. This is not a service for children.

Your content stays yours

What you write here belongs to you. By posting it you let HelloStamped display it, and let other people read and quote it — which is the point of asking in public.

If you delete your account, your questions and answers stay, shown as written by “a member who left”. Threads other people depend on should not develop holes. If you need a specific post removed as well, ask and it will be.

Moderation, and getting a decision reversed

An administrator can remove anything that breaks the guidelines, and has to give a reason you will read. An automated check reads new posts for scams and spam and can hide one until a person looks — it never removes anything itself.

If something of yours is removed and you think it was wrong, ask for another look from the post itself. A human re-reads it and you are told the outcome either way.

Money

HelloStampedis free. Some things here are paid for, and every one of them says so on its face: advertisements and sponsored cards are paid to us; referral links on a member’s profile pay that member and not us; deals are neither, and nobody earns anything when you use one.

None of it appears on a guide, in the assistant, or in search results — a paid placement next to an answer about your visa is not something we are willing to sell.

When you follow one of those links you are dealing with that company, under their terms, and we are not part of that agreement.

What we are not responsible for

Decisions you make about your immigration, your money or your paperwork are yours. We provide information and label its origin; we cannot promise it is complete, current for your situation, or correct in your specific case.

We are not responsible for what other members write, or for what happens on another company’s website after you follow a link from here.

The service comes as it is, and may be interrupted, changed or withdrawn.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any moment from Settings, immediately and without asking anybody.

We can close an account that is used to scam people, harass them, or post other people’s private documents. That is not a decision taken lightly and it is written down in the audit log when it happens.

Changes to these terms

If these change in a way that matters, you will be told in the product rather than by a quietly edited date at the bottom of a page.

This page describes how the product actually behaves and what we undertake. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and is not itself legal advice. Questions and objections go to contact@hellostamped.com.
