    Take the sale first

    Whatever the shop is advertising comes off before anything else, and it sets the number every later step is worked out on.

    Then buy a discounted gift card

    If somebody sells that shop's cards below face value, that discount is money off before you spend a cent. Buy the card, then spend it like cash.

    Start at the cashback site, not the shop

    Open the shop from the cashback site. Clicking it afterwards pays nothing at all — this is the step people lose money on, and it costs one extra tap.

Shops where somebody has checked today’s figures

Every shop gets the order above. A figure only appears once somebody has read it at the company that published it and written down the day — on 6 September 2026 an aggregator’s headline disagreed with what a buyer could actually get at 12 of 15 shops, every time in the aggregator’s favour.
