How we read these

WARN notice
A legal filing an employer makes with a state before a large layoff or closure at a site. It describes a plan with a date on it, so we always mark it Planned.
SEC filing
What a public company told its investors, often worldwide and sometimes as a percentage rather than a number.
Company statement
A newsroom post or memo the company published itself.
News report
A reliable outlet reporting a number, sometimes from people it does not name.

Numbers are shown exactly as the source states them — “about” and “up to” included. We never infer what a layoff means for anybody’s visa or immigration status.
