$400 more than going direct

Costco adds $400 to the T-Mobile iPhone 18 Pro deal

The iPhone 18 Pro "on us" offer is T-Mobile's, and it is the same wherever you take it. Costco adds a $150 Shop Card and a $250 prepaid Visa on top, and waives the $35 connection charge.

Who
Anyone with a Costco membership, new to T-Mobile or already with them. Costco states no membership tier for this — any membership reaches it
Where
United States only, at Costco warehouses and costco.com
ID needed
A Costco membership. T-Mobile runs a credit check for the financing agreement and calls it "qualifying credit", so a thin or absent US credit file can mean a deposit
To qualify
Two different things, and they are not the same test. The phone: "trade in an eligible device in any condition on Experience Beyond" — a broken phone counts. The $400: a port-in, which Costco limits to "AT&T, Verizon, or another eligible carrier"
Trade-in
Any condition, for the iPhone. Costco's Samsung offer beside it asks for "a working phone" instead, so a cracked or dead handset is worth trading here and not there
Paid
$150 Costco Digital Shop Card and a $250 virtual prepaid Visa. Costco prices the pair at "Get $400 in value". The $35 device connection charge T-Mobile bills direct is waived here

Before you sign up

  • The phone is not discounted. T-Mobile pays for it with up to 36 monthly bill credits, so it is free only across three years on the plan. Their terms: cancel the account before the credits finish and "balance on required finance agreement is due", and "bill credits end if you pay off device early".
  • Already with T-Mobile? You can still get the phone by trading one in, but not the $400 — Costco's money needs a port-in from another carrier. Nobody in the thread this came from got an answer to that question.
  • Neither payment is quick and neither is cash. Costco says "allow 16 weeks" for the Shop Card and "14 weeks after rebate submission" for the Visa — and that Visa is "for use at T-Mobile or Costco", not anywhere that takes a card.
  • Sam's Club sells the same T-Mobile offer with a $150 eGift card and $60 a year after. The annual payment needs a Plus membership, which costs $120 a year against $60 for the ordinary one — so the $60 covers the upgrade and little else.
  • The phone is a pre-order. Costco's button says "Pre-order now", so the trade-in and the bill credits begin when it ships, not when you place the order.

Where a shop’s terms turn on visa status, the deal says so — checked against the shop’s own terms, and including the offers that turn out to be closed to people on a visa. That is the part nobody else prints.

What people found

Nobody has said anything yet. If you used this, whether it worked is the most useful thing you can add.

The deal itself is a public promotion, and the member who found it earns nothing from posting it. A row in the stack marked as a referral does pay the member whose offer it is, at no extra cost to you, and says so on the row. HelloStamped takes nothing either way.
